GTS Series II 300 Kilowatt BAD BOY!
SOLD. Is yours?
SoldImmaculate and original Series II VT GTS, these cars were released in 2000 with only 100 being manufactured by HSV. Of that 100 only 17 were available in Sting Red the balance being black; making this is a highly desirable and collectable vehicle.
These cars were the first to appear on the Australian market with the specifically designed and built “Callaway” 300 kw engine which develops tremendous horse power and torque. Added to this HSV developed a better suspension package which included the fantastic Hydratrack differential. The end result being a true Aussie muscle car, even by today’s high standards.
When originally released these cars had a retail sales value of approximately $100,000 and were all sold prior to their release. For a short period in 2000 the GTS was also the world’s fastest four door production car.
This car is 100% original except for the exhaust system which from the catalytic converters back has been altered with an aftermarket exhaust giving greater power and a better sound. The body work, interior, engine bay and boot are all immaculate and unmarked.
The engine cover has been signed by Craig Lowndes and dated 2000, this was the final year he was a driver for the Holden Racing Team.
The car has only traveled a total of 24,000 kilometers and is fully documented including service hand books and receipts. The spare wheel still has the original Bridgestone S0 2 tyre.
The car comes with the original aluminum briefcase containing the HSV owner’s compendium with all the relevant vehicle information, gift set for the owner, key ring and pen.
The car is currently owned by a fastidious collector and represents either excellent motoring on a daily basis or could be considered a wise investment due to the scarcity of the model and the low kilometers.
