Hand fabricated prototype parts fitted including, bell housing, rear gearbox mount, 6 speed T56 gearbox, remote shifter

Engine:

Optimized experimental HSV HRT 6.0 litre Stroker engine stamped HRT 042 producing over 522NM of torque and 255 kw

Larry Perkins Engineering Cast race block with 4 Bolt Mains & VN Group A Heads

Hand Assembled over 7 days at 241 Salmon St Port Melbourne Vic and sent to Elizabeth Adelaide plant as a construction example.

This car has a very rare yellow vin plate and is a pre-production pilot car.

Build 045 was tested extensively at the Holden proving ground and also Phillip Island race way by John Harvey and multiple HRT drivers of the day including Peter Brock and Mark Skaife.

Mark Skaif tested the car at Lang Lang proving ground for Motor Magazine and it was front cover of Motor magazine October 1997 where it was clocked at over 250 klms an hour in 5th gear on Holden’s speed bowl,
