- Transmission: 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual (later upgraded to a 6-speed manual in the BA Mk II)
- Drivetrain: Rear-wheel drive with a limited-slip differential

- BA Mk II (October 2004 Update): Introduced cosmetic changes and replaced the 5-speed manual with a 6-speed Tremec T56 manual transmission. Sedan variants gained a premium audio system.
- Interior & Comfort: Came standard with a sports dashboard, climate control, cruise control, power windows, and a multi-speaker CD player. Leather trim and DVD entertainment systems were available as premium options.
- Safety: Featured standard dual-stage airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), with side airbags added to higher-tier options.
