1977 Holden Torana SLR500 Replica
A tough, extensively modified LX Torana SLR 5000 Replica with serious old-school street presence.
Built in July 1977, this car originally left the factory as an LX Torana SL Sedan finished in Cotillion White with Chamois trim. It has since been transformed into the striking Electric Blue SLR 5000 Replica you see today, with a strong V8 driveline and the aggressive styling these cars are famous for.
Under the bonnet sits a 383ci Small Block Chevrolet V8, backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 10-bolt rear end. An alloy radiator has also been fitted to support the upgraded driveline.
Externally, the car has been finished in vibrant Electric Blue and features the classic SLR 5000 replica treatment, including flared guards, front and rear spoilers, SLR 5000 badging and a black bonnet with prominent bonnet scoop.
The wide rear stance and polished wheels complete the tough street-machine appearance, giving the car the unmistakable look of a modified LX Torana.
Inside, the SLR 5000 replica theme continues with SAAS sports seats, aftermarket steering wheel, Auto Meter tachometer, additional auxiliary gauges and a floor-mounted automatic shifter. A roll cage has also been fitted, adding to the purposeful street-and-strip character of the build.
A drop fuel tank is fitted at the rear, while twin exhaust outlets finish off the car’s aggressive appearance.
