The HDT VL Director represents one of the most important, controversial and highly sought-after vehicles in Australian automotive history.
This particular vehicle was NOT only Peter Brock’s own personal car, it was the “Deal Breaker” between HDT and Holden!
The vehicle was completed by HDT in February 1987 and was highly optioned by Brock to be the “Show Car and Showcase” for the VL Director model.
Interesting Fact: A fully optioned HDT Director in 1987 was approximately the cost of an average home in Sydney at the time being $86,000!
