HDT Calais LE

The car left HDT on the 9th of October 1986 as a HDT Calais LE, 6 cylinder (NA) coupled with a 4 Speed Automatic transmission and optioned in Alpine white with Madeira Red upholstery that included the Scheel Seats and rear headrests option.

The car was sold originally by Tony Ireland Holden in Northern Queensland in late 1986.

The car is now a Sydney car and now, sports the “Group A” front front bar and rear wing

Overall, it’s in exceptional condition and the running gear has been modified to the following-

The motor has been upgraded to a VT 304 roller motor with a lot of time and money spent.

Please Note: The owner currently has a “Built” RB30 motor built with high performance gear, RB26 Heads, VL Turbo “K” Frame etc, this is all available at an extra cost.

• Vt roller cam block comp around 10.1, travelled only 350 kms since
• 20 thou over flat tops, file fit rings
• 20 thou mains and big ends
• Oil mod done to front cam bearing with restrictor in gallery
• jp cast standard oil pump
• Ported VT 58cc heads with Lt1 springs
• Standard roller cam with crow hydraulic rollers
• Harrop dual plane with bosch blue tops in manifold to EFI when ready
• Fully rebuilt and rebushed Quadrajet carburettor set up with 72 mains and cx needles
• Genie two-piece Walkinshaw headers (extractors) with custom exhaust
• New power steer rack and power steering pump have been fitted
• New Fennix 2 row alloy radiator with fg single thermo switching through thermo switch in manifold
• T5G 5 Speed Gearbox coupled with 3.45 LSD rear end
• Original HDT Polariser is still fitted

Faults

• Momo steering wheel needs recovering at some point
