The FPV GTF stands as the embodiment of Ford’s illustrious heritage, considered by enthusiasts as the ultimate tribute to the brand’s legacy.

This distinguished vehicle, Build #202, bears testament to its meticulous preservation, with a mere 6300 kilometers on the odometer and an exterior finished in the exquisite Smoke Metallic hue.

Underpinning the GT F’s performance is an enhanced 351kW iteration of Ford’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, a deliberate homage to the Bathurst-winning 351ci (5.8-litre) Falcon GT’s. This powertrain, though revered for it’s homage to output rather than capacity, has garnered widespread acclaim among collectors!

Of particular note is the ‘transient overboost’ function, capable of elevating output beyond 400kW, showcasing the remarkable capabilities of FPV engineering.

This enhanced performance represents a significant 16kW surge over the brand’s previous flagship models, including the specially crafted 2012 GT RSPEC. The augmentation owes itself to a specialized tuning of the sedan’s Powertrain Control Module system, with a focus on refined boost control.

While the peak torque of 570Nm remains unchanged, meticulous fine-tuning of the engine management system has rendered the engine more responsive than ever, further enhancing its performance credentials.

FPV Chief Program Engineer, Peter de Leur, underscores that the GT F’s power curve has been meticulously designed to impart a discernibly dynamic feel to the vehicle’s performance. Anticipated acceleration times have not been officially disclosed, but de Leur suggests a 0-100km/h sprint time of approximately 4.5 seconds, a commendable improvement over the standard GT.

Additional noteworthy features include a launch control system and an upgraded suspension package akin to the GT RSPEC model unveiled in 2012. The GT F also boasts a new G-Force meter integrated into its expansive dashboard display.

The vehicle’s rear suspension system facilitates camber bolt adjustments, enabling the configuration of a track-oriented setup without compromising its day-to-day drivability.

Further enhancing it’s performance, the GT F is equipped with Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes as standard equipment.

Aesthetic enhancements include a discreet ‘stealth’ sticker pack, featuring prominent bonnet and roof strips, complemented by ‘GT F’ lettering in the door graphics. This sticker pack is available in a matte black finish for all body colors (white, blue, black, orange, and smoke grey), with a white stripe option for blue and gold finishes.

Gloss black accents adorn the ‘racoon eyes’ headlight garnish, as well as the grille, door handles, mirrors, and rear diffuser. The enhanced engine proudly displays a ‘GT F 351’ stamping in lieu of the customary ‘BOSS 335’ insignia.

The cabin exudes an ambiance of sophistication, characterized by darker tones accentuating various highlights. A distinctive build-number plate and ‘GT orange’ accents further accentuate the vehicle’s distinctive character.
